Product Application and Yield |
CAUTION:
1. ALWAYS USE A FACE MASK, EYE PROTECTION, AND WORK IN A WELL-VENTILATED AREA WHEN USING POWDER OR LIQUID PAINT.
2. SHIELDING PAINT IS AN ELECTRICALLY CONDUCTIVE PRIMER COATING AND MUST BE GROUNDED BY QUALIFIED PERSONNEL.
EMF TURTAL Shielding Paint is an electrically conductive primer coating, especially for large area shielding of electromagnetic fields. For optimum shielding results, always use the complete contents of a whole bag for mixing, as individual components may separate from each other during transport. EMF-TURTAL powder must be mixed with water for at least 10 minutes before use! We recommend stirring the shielding paint again for about 2 to 3 minutes before each application of a further layer of paint to distribute all particles evenly.
EMF-TURTAL is virtually smudge-proof after drying and can be easily painted over with conventional dispersion paints. For optimum shielding, it must always be painted in 2 layers. EMF-TURTAL should be allowed to dry for at least 6 hours –the second coat can be applied after approximately 2 to 3 hours (depending on temperature and humidity). Apply only in dry conditions and above 41°F (5°C). Provide thorough ventilation during application and drying. Avoid eating, drinking, and smoking while using the paint. In case of contact with eyes or skin, rinse immediately with water. In case of accidental oral ingestion please contact the emergency medical service immediately. Show the doctor the packaging label.
NOTE – Depending on the thickness of the liquid paint, one bag of powdered paint mixed with 0.5 gallons (2 liters) of water yields approximately 0.66 to 0.73 gallons (2.5 to 2,75 liters) of ready-to-use shielding paint, enough to cover an area approximately 134.5 sq ft (12.5m²) with one layer.
The amount of water added may vary depending on surface absorption. Add water slowly, mixing as you add until you reach a thick, fully blended consistency. Desired consistency will depend on the surface the paint is applied to. Remix paint occasionally to ensure heavier material is not settled to the bottom of the mixing vessel.
• EMF-TURTAL – Electrically conductive primer coating for shielding: Successfully shield mobile radio (LTE, 5G), HF-/LF-, WLAN, GSM, etc.
• Mixing: Powder is simply mixed with water (with a mixing paddle and drill or cordless screwdriver).
• Yield: When mixed with water, powder yields approximately 0.66 to 0.73 gallons (2.50 to 2.75 liters) of ready-to-spread shielding paint. We recommend using an acrylic roller to paint the surface to be shielded. Distribute each coat of shielding paint evenly. One bag of PLV 2.5 is sufficient to cover an area approximately 108 sq ft to 134.5 sq ft (10.0 m2* to 12.5 m2) with one layer, depending on the substrate. Again, distribute as evenly as possible over the wall surface to be shielded. If, after painting a maximum surface of 134.5 sq ft (12.5 m2) there is shielding paint remaining in the mixing bucket, the protective layer was applied too thinly. If there is any remaining paint, spread it evenly over the surface and apply it completely. Fast drying time.
• General: With EMF-TURTAL based on carbon (graphite) as well as graphene you can effectively and professionally block electromagnetic fields (electro smog). HF (high-frequency radiation) is reliably shielded. Electrical fields from domestic electricity LF- (low-frequency alternating current) are grounded and can be almost completely dissipated.
• We recommend that you always shield with two layers of paint. The viscosity of the paint can be adjusted individually.
•Attention: Shielding paint is an electrically conductive primer coating and must be grounded by qualified personnel!
• Application area: See product front label (Indoor or Outdoor use).
• Substrate: Excellent adhesion to most substrates such as existing paint, plasterboard, wallpaper, plaster, concrete, polystyrene (see Material Safety Data Sheet).
• Topcoat: Can be recoated preferably with plastic-bound dispersion paints, dispersion silicate paints, façade paints or silicone resin-based paints. We do not recommend pure mineral types (such as clay, pure silicate).
• Ingredients: Acrylic binder, Graphite, Graphene.
• Adhesive tensile strength: 2.3 N/mm2.
• Technical data: VOC content: 0.2 g/l (the EU limit for category A/a is 30 g/l from 2010) (see Material Safety Data Sheet).
With the addition of 1.50 to max 1.75 liters of water the storage stability (well sealed) is about one month. Unopened (in original packaging and stored in a dry place (not above 25° Celsius) for up to three years.
Product code: M-DF01 (GI5CODE), Color: Anthracite-Black.
PLEASE READ ALL PROCESSING INSTRUCTIONS!
Content: 2.65 lbs (1.20 kg) – yields approximately 0.66 to 0.73 gallons (2.50 to 2.75 liters) of shielding paint.
